Bee Well

Did you know you can use the new Penny Black dies as stencils as well as to cut out shapes?  Here is a card that I have created using the die both to cut paper and as a stencil.

Bee Well

I also created a matching envelope

Bee Well with Matching Envelope

I created the honeycomb outline using a fine liner pen tracing around the outside of the hexagon die from the Tagged die set 51-007 on to a Les Petites Chestnut Creme 90-006 notecard, I then used the die to cut the Madison Patterned Paper 80-001 and stamped the sentiment using Versafine ink.  The Bees from the transparent set Sweet as Honey 30-145 were stamped onto scrap paper and clear embossed, coloured with copics and then cut out and mounted onto the card with dimensional foam pads.

The envelope was also outlined with a black fine liner pen using the outside edge of the die, I then traced around the inside of the die using a Veramark pen and then chalked with Pan Pastels. The Bee was stamped using Versafine ink and coloured with pastels too and glossy accents added to the body.

I hope this bright summery card has a healing effect on the intended recipient.
